William Eggleston

William Eggleston was born on July 27th 1939 in Memphis Tennessee. Eggleston was inspered by photographers like Robert Frank and Henri Cartier-Bressons. He started to work on his first portfolio while teaching at Harvard. Egglestons work mainly consist of everyday subjects such as motel rooms and storefronts. I myself dont really see many special things about his photos but each detail in his photos carries some sort of mystery to it. Maybe I and others need to take a closer look at them and figure out their mysteries.

Annie became the first woman to hold an exhibition at Washington's National Portrait Gallery in 1991. Student Show

One of our assignments included a student show. There were many students who submitted their work from all over the art department. We had pictures to paintings to sculptures. It was a fun experience and I got to see some really good artwork. I submitted this picture and I title it "The Old Times". I had a to figure out if I wanted to make it colored or black and white. I eventually made it with color. .
