Robert Frank

Robert Frank was born on November 9th, 1924 in Zurich, Switzerland. He is well known for is book called The Americans. Robert was optimistic about the United States' society and culture. Soon after his perspective had changed and he confronted the fast pace of American life. He would later use these has his inspiration for his photography. He would also go into film later on. Robert has inspired many different photographers most of them I have talked about in my previous posts.

Annie Levibovitz was born on October 2nd, in Waterbury, Connecticut. She was well known for doing album covers and magazines. She also photographed John Lennon on the day he was assassinated. She was inspired by photographers such as Robert Frank and Henri Cartier-Bresson. She became chief photographer for Rolling Stone magazine. Annie became the first woman to hold an exhibition at Washington's National Portrait Gallery in 1991. Student Show

One of our assignments included a student show. There were many students who submitted their work from all over the art department. We had pictures to paintings to sculptures. It was a fun experience and I got to see some really good artwork. I submitted this picture and I title it "The Old Times". I had a to figure out if I wanted to make it colored or black and white. I eventually made it with color. .
